FREE beading pattern for Palace Pearls necklace

This design took a bit of trial and error to work through, but I am very happy with the end result.  It is a fairly simple pattern to make, and requires 4mm and 6mm pearls, 4mm bicone crystals, and 11/0 seed beads.  I made this design with both the smaller Czech 11/0 beads (the gold, aqua, and ivory version shown below) as well as larger TOHO 11/0 beads (bronze and green version), and although the design works with either, I think the smaller Czech 11/0 beads look a bit better.  The close-up photo of both necklaces provides a good example of how different Czech and TOHO 11/0 bead sizes really are.  I plan to include a pattern for matching earrings in my next post. Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for Victorian Netted Bezel on Lacy Chain

I created another design using the stunning 18x25mm resin opalescent multicolored cabochons available at Fire Mountain Gems (http://firemountaingems.com), this time with examples showing what the light resin cabochons look like, as well as the dark.  The cabochon is caged in a netted bezel (similar to my last post), but this time surrounded by 4mm bicone crystals and attached to a lacy V-shaped chain made entirely from seed beads, giving it more Victorian look: regal and classic.  I made two light versions: one with 4mm lavender crystals, silver 15/0 and silver, white, and lavender 11/0 seed beads, and another with 4mm aqua crystals, silver 15/0 and silver, white, and aqua 11/0 seed beads.  (The aqua version has an additional aqua drop crystal at the bottom of the pendant).  The dark version is made with green 4mm crystals, brown 15/0 and brown, green, and gold 11/0 seed beads.

FREE beading pattern for Celtic Medallion necklace and earrings

This is absolutely one of my favorite patterns, and I’ve made many of these in different colors.  This necklace is ideal for folks who prefer more dainty, less “statement” type necklaces, and the center component works great for matching earrings.  You can even make just the center component as a pendant, and put it on a chain or ribbon.  This was a more difficult pattern to write a diagram for, but hopefully the diagram I came up with is still easy enough to read and follow (although you may need to zoom in for some parts).  This pattern only requires 15/0 and 11/0 seed beads, and 6mm bicone crystals or pearls.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for necklace Zipper Lace

This design was inspired by a photo of the “Boggle Bangles” bracelet by Deborah Roberti, at http://www.aroundthebeadingtable.com/Patterns/Bobble.html.  This version of the design uses different crystal sizes to curve the motif to form a necklace, which I think resembles an embellished zipper (hence the title of this post).  This piece was made with 3mm silver round crystals, 4mm and 6mm teal round crystals, and 11/0 antique gold seed beads.

FREE beading pattern for necklace Diamond Motif

I absolutely love this pattern! The diamond component in this pattern works well for earrings or bracelet as well. This pattern is made with 4mm pearls and round faceted crystals woven with 11/0 seed beads. There is an optional link between components in the pattern, shown in the example with dark blue pearls below.  This pattern works with either contrasting colors or similar colors.  This pattern is easy and fun to experiment with different color combinations.  Enjoy!
