FREE beading pattern for necklace Twin Floret Lace

This is a lacy pattern I designed using Czech 11/0 seed beads, 4mm pearls, and twin beads.  Either twin beads or Superduo beads will work with this pattern.  (I used twin beads for the white, gold, and pink piece, and Superduo beads for the blue/silver and purple/grey pieces).  I plan to include a pattern for matching earrings in my next post.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for Enchanted Tree Necklace

Why do I call this the Enchanted Tree Necklace?  Because the reflective resin in the cabochon reminds me of tree bark on a trunk, the necklace strands remind me of leaves, and the fringe reminds me of branches — all elements of a tree.  On top of that, the dark color combination is electric, almost other-worldly and enchanting.  (The lighter color combination is softer, less dramatic, and more reminiscent of peach blossoms).  This design is composed of a netted bezel around an 18x25mm resin cabochon, embelleshed with 4mm crystals and coraled fringe, all hanging from a double St. Petersburg strand on either side.  This pattern demonstrates how to stitch and attach the double St. Petersburg strands, and illustrates the coraling technique used to create the branched fringe (including how to stitch it onto the netted bezel).  This is my favorite design yet using resin 18x25mm opalescent cabochons.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for necklace Twin Lace

If you want to experiment with twin beads, there are several free patterns available on the internet for bracelets and earrings, but not as many for necklaces, so I created this one.  This is an intricate lacy design made with two-hole twin beads, pearls (4mm and 6mm), and two colors of 11/0 seed beads.  Photos below show it with darker colors (wine, black, and antique gold), as well as in lighter colors (off-white with iridescent clear beads) for a more bridal look.

FREE beading pattern for necklace Seed Bead Lace

This is a elegant lacy pattern you can make only using seed beads.  For this piece I used white pearl 11/0 seed beads with silver accents, which gives more of a bridal or summery look, but it would work in any color.  It is one of those dress-down or dress-up necklaces — very versatile.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for Diamond Pendant

The pendant part of this pattern can be used to make earrings too.  The pendant looks nice on a chain or on a beaded strand (as shown).  The pattern requires 6mm pearls and bicone crystals, with both 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads for the pendant.  The strand shown is made with 4mm pearls and bicone crystals and 8mm pearls with 11/0 seed beads.  I made another version with grey pearls and red crystals for a more “evening” less “bridal” look.  In both cases, I included an extra link between the pendant and strand than what is shown in the pattern in order to lengthen the pendant drop, but this is optional.  The pendant was made with regular Fireline beading thread, while the strand was made from Beadalon 0.15-inch beading wire, with crimp beads on the ends to attach the clasps and secure the beads in place.  One thing I like about this pattern is that it is simple, elegant, and does not take very long to make.  Enjoy!
