FREE beading pattern for Framed Pearl Drops necklace

FREE beading pattern: Framed Pearl Drops
FREE beading pattern: Framed Pearl Drops

Here is another lovely necklace design featuring pearl drops framed with seed beads, hanging off a dazzling row of smaller pearls and Superduo beads.  This piece requires 4mm and 6mm pearls or druks, 11/0 and 15/0 TOHO seed beads, and Superduo beads.  I notice when working with metallic colors, mixing darker silver with lighter silver (or darker gold with lighter gold) seems to give a certain depth that I really like.  The necklace below was made with Superduo beads that are half bright silver, half crystal (clear), nickel TOHO 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads, and dark purple 4mm and 6mm pearls.  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

FREE beading pattern for Superduo Buds necklace

FREE beading pattern: Superduo Buds

Scroll down for new video tutorial added for this design! Since my interests have gravitated toward Superduo beads lately, I experimented with another way to use them in a necklace design.  This pattern requires 2 colors of 11/0 seed beads and 2 – 3 colors of Superduo beads.  I tried the design with smaller 11/0 Czech beads and larger TOHO 11/0 beads, and both yielded nice results.  The smaller 11/0 beads resulted in more “V” shapes in the 2nd row of buds (seen in the gold & copper, and pink & white pieces), while the larger TOHO 11/0 beads resulted in more “U” shapes in the 2nd row, shown in the black and copper example.  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

FREE beading pattern for Lotus Lace Pendant

I was so happy with how the center component looked in my Lotus Lace Bracelet design from my last post, I decided to make it into a pendant. The pendant can be connected via jump ring to a chain or ribbon (as shown in my Diamond Rivoli post), or strung on a beaded wire finished with crimp beads and clasps as shown below.  (The pattern used for the beaded wire portion of the necklace can be found in my previous Rivoli Pendant post).  As another alternative, I created an extended version of the Lotus Lace Bracelet pattern to form a necklace to attach the pendant to (shown in the gold and copper piece below).  The left and right strands of the necklace were made by doing steps [1 – 22], [10 – 12], [2 – 22], [10 – 12], and [2 – 22] of the Lotus Lace Bracelet pattern, creating three main segments in each strand.  As with the earrings and the bracelet, this pendant pattern works equally well with either smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads, or with larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads, and can work with either Superduo or twin beads (although Superduos work a little better I think).

FREE beading pattern for Lotus Lace Bracelet

Expanding on the Lotus Lace Earrings design from my last post, I created a bracelet using similar elements from the earrings, woven together with a new gorgeous center component.  I haven’t created many bracelet patterns in the past, but I must say this one is my absolute favorite!  It is not one of my simpler patterns, but I tried to make the diagram as easy to follow as possible with clear step-by-step illustrations.  As with the earrings, this pattern works equally well with either smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads, or with larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads, and can work with either Superduo or twin beads (although Superduos work a little better I think).  The smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads result in a slightly shorter bracelet, but you can adjust the length of the bracelet in the final step when attaching the clasp (by either adding linked jump rings or by sewing the clasp into a shorter or longer loop of beads).

FREE beading pattern for Lotus Lace Earrings

I absolutely love this new Lotus Lace earring design.  It requires 11/0 seed beads, 2x5mm 2-hole Superduo or twin beads, and 6mm pearls or round beads.  This pattern also includes a “shorter variation” (shown in the light blue, white, and silver earrings below) as an alternative to the longer version.  This pattern works equally well with either smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads, or with larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads, and works with either Superduo or twin beads.
