FREE beading pattern for Lorraine Earrings

This is an earring pattern that coordinates with the Lorraine Necklace design in my last post.  Like the necklace, it also requires 11/0 seed beads, 4mm pearls or crystals, 6mm & 8mm pearls (or round beads), and Superduo or twin beads.  A 6/0 or 8/0 bead is used at the top to attach the earring to an ear hook or clip with a jump ring.  If you choose to use 4mm crystals that are not bicone  (i.e. like the black/gold piece below, where the crystals are more oval), a slight adjustment to the pattern is needed.  If using oval crystals, then at steps 5 and 6 where you see 2 seed beads in a row, use only one.  Below the picture is a list of materials I used in the three pieces shown.  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

FREE beading pattern for Pentagon Rivoli Pendant

This is a lovely pendant design, which features a crystal rivoli inside a 5-pointed floral frame.  The pattern requires a 14mm crystal rivoli, 6mm pearls or bicone crystals, Superduo beads, 11/0 seed beads, and jewelry glue for the last step.  I experimented with larger (TOHO) and smaller (Czech) 11/0 seed beads, and both seemed to work equally well.  I included a step at the end to glue the the rivoli back to its beaded cage in the back, because I found that with some of the pieces I made, the rivoli could pop out if you twisted the component hard enough. I used E6000 clear glue for that step (same as pictured in the Materials photo in my DIY Sweater Clip post).  I was able to string the pendant on a chain by inserting a jump ring through the middle of one of the sides of the finished piece.   I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

FREE beading pattern for Wire Loop Cross

This wire loop cross pendant and necklace is made as a single interconnected piece, and looks fabulous as a short necklace.  It is made using bead stringing wire (0.015in, 0.38mm), crimp beads (6), 11/0 seed beads, 4mm and 6mm round beads, and 4 Superduo beads for the center of the cross.  Instead of transcribing this pattern as a diagram, I decided to create more of a picture tutorial in hopes it would be easier to follow.  This piece can be made fairly quickly, so I was able to make many of them to experiment with different color combinations.  You can use crimping pliers to crimp the beads at steps 7, 8, and 11, but I found just pinching the crimps flat with needle-nose pliers worked just as well, and was easier to do.  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

FREE beading pattern for Trinity Necklace

This design is all about groups of three, which inspired its title.  This pattern requires 6mm and 4mm round beads or pearls, 6mm bicone crystals, and 1 or 2 colors of 11/0 seed beads.  Smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads work just as well as larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads do with this design.  Using the larger seed beads results in slightly larger triangle components.  This difference can be seen in both close-up images, which show the smaller seed bead components above the larger seed bead components for comparison.  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

FREE beading pattern for Tudor Cross Pendant

FREE beading pattern: Tudor Cross Pendant

I really love how this pendant turned out!  It comes in two flavors: Diamond-shaped and Cross-shaped.  When experimenting with different color combinations, I found that a higher-contrast seed bead color accentuated the outline of the cross-shape better.   I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

Both Diamond-shaped and Cross-shaped versions of this pendant require Superduos, 4mm and 6mm round beads or pearls, and 11/0 seed beads. Between the smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads and larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads, I found the smaller Czech ones worked slightly better.  However, larger TOHO beads still worked in this pattern (see the dark copper/olive and bronze/red examples below). Those examples with TOHO seed bead were made with natural stone 4mm/6mm round beads, which tend to be on the larger side of 4mm/6mm.
