FREE beading pattern for Joslyn Necklace

Enjoy a free video tutorial to accompany the PDF diagram for this design! I love how this design incorporates the superduos as pops of color at the connection points, but in a totally different way than in the Nadine Necklace design from my previous post. The piece is woven with nearly the same number of crystals (or round beads), which makes for a symmetrical contrast of color. Using bright colors that contrast one another seems to work best with this design, in my opinion. I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

For this design you need 66 – 72 4mm crystals (bicone or round) or round beads, superduos, 11/0 seed beads (TOHO or Czech), and two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads to connect a clasp with jump rings. Using 11/0 TOHO seed beads, a 16-inch necklace (with clasp) requires 66 crystals. With 11/0 Czech seed beads (slightly smaller than TOHO), a 16-inch necklace requires 72 crystals.

This new earrings design features a large rondelle crystal in the center, inside an embellished cage of bicone crystals and seed beads. Materials

For these earrings, you will need 11/0 and 15/0 TOHO seed beads, two 8×10 rondelle crystals, twelve 4mm bicone crystals, and two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads to connect ear hooks with jump rings.

FREE beading pattern for Nadine Necklace

Enjoy a video tutorial to go with the PDF diagram of this free pattern! I love the way this design alternates colors of curvy lines radiating from the center, resembling the sun’s corona. It is a variation on basic netting technique, but the superduos at the connection points allow the lines to curve instead of making sharp corners. This design seems to work best with two high-contrasting seed bead colors. I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

For this necklace, you need 6mm round beads, superduos, two colors of 11/0 TOHO seed beads, 8/0 seed beads (matching one of the 11/0 TOHO seed bead colors), and jump rings to connect a clasp.

FREE beading pattern for Sunflower Pendant

Enjoy a video tutorial to go with the free PDF download for this design! The part I like best about this design is the new technique I use to bezel the rivoli crystal in the center. The bezel part only requires 11/0 TOHO seed beads (no 15/0 seed beads, like in my Georgiana or Evangeline Earrings), and is very easy and quick to make. (One of the photos below shows what the bezel looks like from the back, so you can see how securely it holds the crystal). Also, the bezel does not cover up too much of the rivoli crystal. I like this because it allows the beauty and depth of the crystal to reflect more light from the center. So I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

For this design you will need a 14mm rivoli crystal, nine 6mm bicone crystals, nine 4mm bicone crystals, nine superduos, and 11/0 TOHO seed beads. You will also need a bail or large jump ring to connect the pendant to a chain or cord.

FREE beading pattern for Superduo Bud Earrings

Enjoy a video tutorial with the free PDF download of this design! These unique earrings are designed to coordinate with the Superduo Buds Necklace from my previous post. The “bud” motif is featured in the center, with a nice kite-shaped frame around it. You can use either TOHO seed beads (like the image above) or Czech seed beads (like the green/copper version below). This design is very simple and quick to make. These earrings require 11/0 seed beads (TOHO or Czech), superduo beads in 2 colors, and two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads to connect the ear hooks or clips through jump rings.
