FREE beading pattern for Evelyn Necklace

FREE beading pattern: Evelyn Necklace

Enjoy a step-by-step video tutorial to accompany the PDF diagram for this design. This is a simple but elegant necklace design that is versatile. The angle of the “V” is flexible enough to support a longer necklace with deeper “V” angle, or a shorter necklace with wider “V”. You can also change the length of the “V” to be shorter or longer or use cyrstals instead of round beads or pearls. I had fun experimenting with different color combinations. I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

For this necklace, you need 11/0 seed beads (any kind, Czech, TOHO, etc), superduos, and 6mm beads or crystals (15 – 23 of them, depending on how long you want to make the “V” section). I used 7mm beads for the blue/bronze piece below, and that also worked with this pattern. You will also need two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads at either end to connect the clasp with jump rings.

FREE beading pattern for Darlene Necklace

FREE beading pattern: Darlene Necklace
FREE beading pattern: Darlene Necklace

Enjoy a video tutorial to accompany the free PDF diagram for this design! This design took a good bit of trial and error to create. It also takes some patience to make but is well worth it. I actually made five of them (though only four are pictured here) – the one not shown was made with larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads, which I didn’t feel worked as well as the smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads I used in the four examples shown. This necklace is made in four rows, and I think looks best when the seed bead color doesn’t stand out, but rather blends or matches one of the superduo colors. I think the Marquessa Earrings would coordinate nicely with this. I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

For this necklace you will need superduos in 2 colors (about 10g each for a 16-inch necklace), 4mm beads or crystals (about 125 for a 16-inch necklace), and 11/0 Czech seed beads. You will also need two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads to feed the jump rings through at the ends to attach a clasp. Here are the exact materials I used, for reference:

Superduos 4mm Beads Seed Beads
Red and Yellow Lemon Yellow (from Jill Wiseman Designs), and Crystal Gold Rainbow from Hobby Lobby (may be discontinued) 4mm orange-red pearls from Fire Mountain Gems) 11/0 Czech matte gold seed beads from Hobby Lobby
Blue and Black Jet Black from Hobby Lobby, and Tropical Blue Rapberry (from Jill Wiseman Designs) 4mm Preciosa Czech aquamarine AB bicone crystals (from Fire Mountain Gems) 11/0 Iris Sphynx Czech seed beads (looks like Hematite) from Hobby Lobby
White and Light Blue White Luster and Magic Blue Pink from Hobby Lobby 4mm Preciosa Czech clear AB bicone crystals (from Fire Mountain Gems) 11/0 Czech crystal rainbow seed beads from Hobby Lobby
Teal and Dark Copper Bronze Aluminum from Hobby Lobby, and Polychrome Dark Capri Blue (from Jill Wiseman Designs) 4mm teal pearls (from Fire Mountain Gems) 11/0 bronze Czech seed beads from Hobby Lobby

FREE beading pattern for Pretty Hearts Earrings

FREE beading pattern: Pretty Hearts Earrings
FREE beading pattern: Pretty Hearts Earrings

Enjoy a video tutorial along with the free PDF diagram for this design! This new earring design coordinates with the Pretty Hearts Bracelet and Pretty Hearts Necklace from my previous posts and is made entirely with seed beads. Perfect for Valentine’s Day! Because this framed heart is made of only seed beads, it is very light weight and comfortable to wear. I enjoyed experimenting with different color combinations and found contrasting colors look best to bring out the inner heart shapes within the frame. I hope you have fun with this free beading pattern!

Materials

You need 11/0 round seed beads in two colors for this necklace, TOHO or Czech, as long as both colors are the same type. You will also need two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads for the jump rings to go through to connect the ear hooks or clips.

The red/silver earrings and the gold/grey earrings below were made with the slightly larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads, and the pink/white earrings were made with smaller Czech seed beads (resulting in a slightly smaller earring).

FREE beading pattern for Pretty Hearts Necklace

FREE beading pattern: Pretty Hearts Necklace
FREE beading pattern: Pretty Hearts Necklace

Enjoy a video tutorial along with the free PDF diagram for this design! This new necklace design coordinates with the Pretty Hearts Bracelet from my last post and is made entirely with seed beads. Perfect for Valentine’s Day! One feature I like about this design is that each inner heart is subtly outlined by an outer heart that interlinks with the next outer heart, but also touches the next inner heart. Because it is made of only seed beads, it is light weight, thin, and comfortable to wear.

You will also need two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads for the jump rings to go through to connect the clasp.

For length, the best rule of thumb is to continue the first row to the desired length, then add one more component after that. In other words, make it 3/4″ longer than your desired length in the first row. This is because the 2nd row will shrink the length a bit. In the samples shown below, the white hearts framed in pink were made with smaller Czech beads, where 30 hearts in the first row made about a 17-inch necklace (with clasp). Simply add hearts if you want to make it longer (each heart adds just under 3/4-inch). The gold hearts framed in grey, and the red hearts framed in silver were made with TOHO (larger) seed beads. With TOHO seed beads, 27 hearts made about a 17-inch necklace. Each heart you add will add about 3/4 inch to the necklace.

FREE beading pattern for Pretty Hearts Bracelet

FREE beading pattern: Pretty Hearts Bracelet
FREE beading pattern: Pretty Hearts Bracelet

Enjoy a video tutorial along with the free PDF diagram for this design! This new bracelet is one of my favorite seed-bead-only designs, and I’m posting it in time to make for Valentine’s Day! Because it is made of only seed beads, it is light weight, thin, and comfortable to wear. I enjoyed experimenting with different color combinations, and found contrasting colors look best to bring out the heart shapes within the frame. I hope you have fun with this free beading pattern!

Materials

You need 11/0 round seed beads in two colors for this bracelet, TOHO or Czech, as long as both colors are the same type. You will also need two 6/0 seed beads for the jump rings to go through to connect the clasp.

In the samples shown below, the silver hearts framed with red, and the white hearts framed in pink were made with smaller Czech beads, where 11 hearts in the first row makes about a 6.25-inch bracelet (6.75 inches with clasp). Simply add hearts to make it longer (each heart adds about 1/2-inch). The gold hearts framed in grey, and the red hearts framed in silver were made with TOHO (larger) seed beads. With TOHO seed beads, 10 hearts in the first row made about a 6.25-inch bracelet (6.75 inches with clasp). Each heart you add will add slightly more than 1/2″ to the bracelet.
