Free beading pattern for Octavia Bracelet

Free Beading Pattern: Octavia Bracelet
Free Beading Pattern: Octavia Bracelet

Enjoy a step-by-step video tutorial to accompany the free PDF instructional diagram for this design! This design starts with the Russian Snake stitch, then adds lacy embellishments around the edge. This bracelet can be made as a single-strand (requiring a lobster clasp) or a double-strand, which uses a crystal and beeded loop as its clasp. This bracelet works with a variety of color combinations and finishes. I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

This piece requires 11/0 TOHO seed beads (2 colors) and 6x4mm (or 6x5mm) rondelle crystals. The single strand version also needs a lobster clasp. I used about 2.5 meters/yards of 6-lb Fireline with a size 10 beading needle to make the single strand version (twice that for the double strand version).

Free beading pattern for Imperial Earrings

Free Beading Pattern: Imperial Earrings
Free Beading Pattern: Imperial Earrings

Enjoy a step-by-step video tutorial to accompany the free PDF instructional diagram for this design! This is an earring design to match the Imperial Bracelet from my last post. Like the bracelet, I liked seed bead colors that contrast the crystal but are similar to each other for the different size seed beads (like light gold 11/0 and dark gold 6/0 seed beads). I also liked bright translucent colors for the crystals to sparkle and reflect light. This earring can be made in a shorter version (not pictured). Either the regular version (pictured) or shorter variation can be made without the 3x4mm rondelle crystals if you only have the 6x8mm rondelle crystals on hand. I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

For these earrings you will need 11/0 and 6/0 seed beads, two 6x8mm rondelle crystals, two 3x4mm rondelle crystals (optional), and jump rings to connect ear hooks. I used about 1 meter/yard of 6-lb Fireline with a size 10 beading needle to make each earring.

Free beading pattern for Reversible Ophelia Pendant

FREE Beading Pattern: Ophelia Pendant
FREE Beading Pattern: Ophelia Pendant

Enjoy a video tutorial to accompany the free PDF instructions for this design! Using a new way to cage 8x10mm rondelle crystals, I designed this pendant to coordinate with the Ophelia Earrings from my last post. I especially like transparent colors for the rondelle crystals with this design, as light reflecting through them adds depth when it shines through the open areas of each beaded cage. The best part is this pendant is REVERSIBLE. I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

This pendant requires six 8x10mm rondelle crystals (preferably transparent), 11/0 TOHO round seed beads, and two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads. A jump ring connects the pendant to a bail to hang it on a chain, cord, or ribbon. In two of the pendants, I made a simple bail out of 2 or 3 larger jump rings. I used a size 10 beading needle, and about 3 meters of 6-lb Fireline to construct the pendant.

The seed beads I used were 11/0 TOHO round PermaFinish opaque galvanized aluminum, and opaque bronze. (These are among my favorite seed beads to use because they don’t tarnish). All of the 8x10mm rondelle crystals came from Michael’s, in their strung rondelle crystal sets (8x10mm being the largest size). The sets are pictured below. I’ve used these in many other designs including Brielle Earrings, Lillian Earrings, Arabella Earrings, Arabella Pendant, Wing Drop Bracelet, Wing Drop Necklace, Wing Drop Earrings, Rondelle Radiance Earrings, Rondelle Radiance Necklace, and Rondelle Radiance Bracelet… There are plenty of projects to use up the rest of the rondelle crystals in the set!

Free beading pattern for Ophelia Earrings

Free Beading Pattern: Ophelia Earrings
Free Beading Pattern: Ophelia Earrings

Enjoy a video tutorial to accompany the free PDF instructions for this design! It’s been a while since my last post, but I think this design is worth the wait. After much trial and error, I invented a new way to cage 8x10mm rondelle crystals, and this became the main inspiration behind this design. I especially like transparent colors for the rondelle crystals with this design, as light reflecting through them adds depth when it shines through the open areas of each beaded cage. I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

These earrings require six 8x10mm rondelle crystals (preferably transparent), 11/0 TOHO round seed beads, and two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads to feed the jump rings through to attach the ear hooks or clips. I use a size 10 beading needle, and about 1.5 meters of 6-lb Fireline per earring.

The sets look like this:

FREE beading pattern for Lillian earrings

FREE beading pattern: Lillian Earrings

Enjoy a video tutorial with this earring design’s PDF diagram! I’m at it again – developing another design using different size rondelle crystals that I got from Michael’s. The Arabella Earring design from my previous post was more of an oval shape, where these are more of a diamond shape. The possibilities seem endless! These crystals are a constant inspiration to me for new designs. I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Materials

These earrings require 11/0 TOHO seed beads (one or two colors), three sizes of rondelle crystals (four 8×10 mm, eight 4x6mm, and four 3x4mm), plus two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads to connect the ear hooks (or clips or posts) through jump rings. I have mentioned this in previous posts, but for TOHO seed beads, I tend to like metallic colors (gold, silver, bronze, etc). They make my pieces feel more like classic jewelry to me. Because I don’t like my pieces to tarnish over time, I almost always use PermaFinish TOHO seed beads.
