FREE beading pattern for necklace Twin Rivoli

This is a great pattern for framing a 14mm crystal rivoli in a twin bead bezel.  Although I’ve seen photos of similar Superduo bead bezels, I hadn’t come across any patterns for them, so I decided to create one.  (I included a photo of what the back looks like, just for reference).  The strand part of the necklace is also something I haven’t seen done with twin beads, but I like how narrow the strand is and how it brings in elements from the bezel.  I liked this design so much I made a variation with 3 purple rivolis with lovely results.  This piece was made with gold-lined 15/0 beads, black and gold-lined 11/0 seed beads, matte gold twin beads, 4mm champagne bicone crystals, a black drop bead, and a Swarovski 14mm “golden shadow” crystal rivoli.  My next post will include matching earrings.

FREE beading pattern for necklace Zipper Lace

This design was inspired by a photo of the “Boggle Bangles” bracelet by Deborah Roberti, at http://www.aroundthebeadingtable.com/Patterns/Bobble.html.  This version of the design uses different crystal sizes to curve the motif to form a necklace, which I think resembles an embellished zipper (hence the title of this post).  This piece was made with 3mm silver round crystals, 4mm and 6mm teal round crystals, and 11/0 antique gold seed beads.

FREE beading pattern for necklace Butterfly Lace

For my first post in March (looking forward to Spring), I created a lacy butterfly pattern using netting techniques made entirely of 11/0 seed beads.  The butterflies in this pattern are easier to see when adjacent butterfly components alternate colors, so I made this one with all colors of the rainbow.  The blue version is nice too, but you see more the circles between butterflies when woven with only one color.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for Crystal Net Earrings

As promised, here is a pattern for earrings that coordinate with the Crystal Net necklace pattern in my last post.  These earrings employ a lovely color combination arranged in a flowery wheel pattern, each made from copper and purple 11/0 seed beads with 4mm purple AB bicone crystals, a 6mm purple AB bicone crystal, and a 6/0 copper seed bead at the top for attaching a jump ring.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for necklace Crystal Net

This is a fairly easy pattern modified from a similar pattern I originally found on another blog (http://cartonsetperles.canalblog.com/archives/2011/04/19/20928261.html).  It uses two rows of stitching to make the basic netting pattern, plus a 3rd row to even out and stabilize the edge.  I love the color combination in this piece, made using copper and purple 11/0 seed beads with 4mm and 6mm purple AB crystals. Stay tuned for next post, where I’ll share a pattern for matching earrings!
