FREE beading pattern for necklace Pearl Netting

This is a lovely pattern, that was modified from a pattern that was originally posted at BeadsMagic.com.  After making the necklace, I found it needed another row to keep the pearls in place better (to prevent turning or twisting as they hang from the netting), so I created the pattern below to include that extra stabilizing row.  This necklace was made with dark and light copper 11/0 seed beads with 8mm dark copper pearls.

FREE beading pattern for Basic Spiral Rope

This is probably one of the most versatile patterns, as it makes a rope that is not stiff (like Herringbone or Russian Spiral Ropes are), so it hangs and moves nicely. I like to tie the beaded rope into a Celtic Heart Knot and add a pendant or tassle for a focal point, as shown below. (FusionKnots.com has nice instructions on how to tie a Celtic Heart Knot).  The pattern includes a variation on the spiral rope for using 2 different sized seed beads (demonstrated in the yellow necklace), and also shows how you can form a “V” in a spiral rope to hang a pendant.  The necklace below was made with 11/0 seed beads.  Spiral ropes can be used to make necklaces or bracelets.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for necklace Bugle Fringes

Something about this design reminds me of styles from the1920’s.  This is a lovely pattern that works with about any size bugle bead.  To make this, you need 11/0 sead beads, 3mm – 4mm fringe beads, and bugle beads (any length).  I made a cobolt blue and copper version with longer (12mm) bugle beads (shown below), as well as a green and gold one with shorter (6mm) bugle beads.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for necklace Two-Tone Lacy Net

I love how this color combination looks, and the way it brings out the design of the necklace.  This necklace was made with gold and hematite-black 11/0 seed beads with gold 6mm pearls.  It is fairly simple to make, and is striking when made with two contrasting colors like this.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for necklace V-Pearls

This is a lovely classic looking pearl necklace, elegant yet simple.  The “V” gives it a flattering shape.  Shown here in a dusty purple color with silver accents, this is a pattern that can work with any color.  This pattern calls for 6mm and 8mm pearls and 11/0 seed beads.  (I’ve wanted to try this pattern using different color for the 6mm pearls to frame the 8mm pearls in the middle, but haven’t done it yet).  This one is fairly easy to make.

FREE beading pattern for necklace Diamond Motif

I absolutely love this pattern! The diamond component in this pattern works well for earrings or bracelet as well. This pattern is made with 4mm pearls and round faceted crystals woven with 11/0 seed beads. There is an optional link between components in the pattern, shown in the example with dark blue pearls below.  This pattern works with either contrasting colors or similar colors.  This pattern is easy and fun to experiment with different color combinations.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for necklace Seed Bead Lace

This is a elegant lacy pattern you can make only using seed beads.  For this piece I used white pearl 11/0 seed beads with silver accents, which gives more of a bridal or summery look, but it would work in any color.  It is one of those dress-down or dress-up necklaces — very versatile.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for Diamond Pendant

The pendant part of this pattern can be used to make earrings too.  The pendant looks nice on a chain or on a beaded strand (as shown).  The pattern requires 6mm pearls and bicone crystals, with both 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads for the pendant.  The strand shown is made with 4mm pearls and bicone crystals and 8mm pearls with 11/0 seed beads.  I made another version with grey pearls and red crystals for a more “evening” less “bridal” look.  In both cases, I included an extra link between the pendant and strand than what is shown in the pattern in order to lengthen the pendant drop, but this is optional.  The pendant was made with regular Fireline beading thread, while the strand was made from Beadalon 0.15-inch beading wire, with crimp beads on the ends to attach the clasps and secure the beads in place.  One thing I like about this pattern is that it is simple, elegant, and does not take very long to make.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for necklace Crystal Loops

The dark gold seed beads and bicones in this necklace give it a nice antique look. It takes many 4mm round crystals to make this piece, but it is lovely as a short necklace. I made another with dark blue 4mm pearls instead of crystals, which also worked well.  I can see this pattern working with almost any color (especially if the seed beads and bicones are a contrasting but complementary color to the crystals/pearls).  I hope you enjoy this design!

FREE beading pattern for necklace Veronica

The contrasting colors in this necklace accentuate the design.  This piece is made with 15/0 seed beads, mostly 6mm pearls, with accents and drops made from 4mm pearls and 4mm bicone crystals.  11/0 seed beads can be used for the bead stops on the drops if the bead hole is too big for a 15/0 seed bead. (That was done for this piece, even though the pattern indicates all 15/0 seed beads).  This one is fairly simple to make, which is another reason I like it.

FREE beading pattern for necklace Geometric Net

I’ve seen this pattern posted several places around various beading sites.  For this piece, I made a slight modification to accommodate larger focal beads around the bottom edge, including an extra 11/0 and extra 6/0 seed bead on either side of the focal bead to give it more room to hang down.  I love the gold and wine colors together!  This piece was made with 11/0 (purple) and 6/0 (gold) seed beads, 4mm and 6mm pearls, and 7 large diamond-shaped focal beads.

FREE Beading Pattern for necklace Icicle Fringe

This necklace was inspired by the movie “Frozen”, and I love how the ice blue crystals catch the light and combine with the bugle beads to resemble icicles. Even so, I think this design could work well with other color pallets.  This necklace requires many 4mm and 6mm round crystals to make, but it is worth it.  The necklace also has 11/0 silver seed beads with 12mm bugle beads.  Enjoy!
