FREE beading pattern for Lotus Lace Pendant

I was so happy with how the center component looked in my Lotus Lace Bracelet design from my last post, I decided to make it into a pendant. The pendant can be connected via jump ring to a chain or ribbon (as shown in my Diamond Rivoli post), or strung on a beaded wire finished with crimp beads and clasps as shown below.  (The pattern used for the beaded wire portion of the necklace can be found in my previous Rivoli Pendant post).  As another alternative, I created an extended version of the Lotus Lace Bracelet pattern to form a necklace to attach the pendant to (shown in the gold and copper piece below).  The left and right strands of the necklace were made by doing steps [1 – 22], [10 – 12], [2 – 22], [10 – 12], and [2 – 22] of the Lotus Lace Bracelet pattern, creating three main segments in each strand.  As with the earrings and the bracelet, this pendant pattern works equally well with either smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads, or with larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads, and can work with either Superduo or twin beads (although Superduos work a little better I think).

FREE beading pattern for Lotus Lace Bracelet

Expanding on the Lotus Lace Earrings design from my last post, I created a bracelet using similar elements from the earrings, woven together with a new gorgeous center component.  I haven’t created many bracelet patterns in the past, but I must say this one is my absolute favorite!  It is not one of my simpler patterns, but I tried to make the diagram as easy to follow as possible with clear step-by-step illustrations.  As with the earrings, this pattern works equally well with either smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads, or with larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads, and can work with either Superduo or twin beads (although Superduos work a little better I think).  The smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads result in a slightly shorter bracelet, but you can adjust the length of the bracelet in the final step when attaching the clasp (by either adding linked jump rings or by sewing the clasp into a shorter or longer loop of beads).

FREE beading pattern for Lotus Lace Earrings

I absolutely love this new Lotus Lace earring design.  It requires 11/0 seed beads, 2x5mm 2-hole Superduo or twin beads, and 6mm pearls or round beads.  This pattern also includes a “shorter variation” (shown in the light blue, white, and silver earrings below) as an alternative to the longer version.  This pattern works equally well with either smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads, or with larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads, and works with either Superduo or twin beads.

FREE beading pattern for Bugle Diamond Earrings

Here is a pattern for earrings to match necklaces from my last two posts (Bugle Squares and Bugle Diamonds).  They require the same beads as the Bugle Diamonds necklace (Czech #3 bugle beads, 4mm crystals, and one or two colors of seed beads) plus two 6/0 seed beads and jump rings to connect the components to ear hooks or clips.  It is highly recommended that you use Fireline for this pattern, otherwise the sharp edges of the bugle beads could sever your thread. The green and gold earrings were made using Czech #3 rainbow dark green bugle beads, dark green 4mm round crystals, with light green rainbow and gold lined seed beads.  The grey earrings were made using Czech #3 (6.4mm) rainbow grey bugle beads, 4mm fire polished lilac luster round crystals, and light blue rainbow and light purple rainbow silver lined seed beads.

FREE beading pattern for necklace Bugle Diamonds

I experimented more with the bugle square-within-square component from my last post (Bugle Squares), and came up with another design I like very much.  This pattern results in a more rigid curve in the necklace than the design in my last post, so works best as a shorter necklace (13 to 15 components).  It is highly recommended that you use Fireline for this pattern, otherwise the sharp edges of the bugle beads could sever your thread.  I vertically attached 3 more components to the front of the green and gold necklace, to give it a more V-line in the front, which I thought was a nice embellishment to the pattern.  The green and gold piece was made using Czech #3 (6.4mm) rainbow dark green bugle beads, dark green 4mm round crystals, with light green rainbow and gold lined seed beads.  The grey piece was made using Czech #3 rainbow grey bugle beads, 4mm fire polished lilac luster round crystals, and light blue rainbow and light purple rainbow silver lined seed beads.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for necklace Bugle Squares

This stringed sequence of squares within squares makes for a lovely geometric necklace design. The pattern requires Czech #3 bugle beads (6.4mm), 11/0 seed beads, and 6x4mm rondelle crystals (or other similar accent bead).  It is highly recommended that you use Fireline for this pattern, otherwise the sharp edges of the bugle beads could sever your thread.  This piece was made using Czech #3 rainbow dark topaz brown (orange) bugle beads, light rainbow pink silver lined 11/0 seed beads, and light peach 6x4mm rondelle crystals.

FREE beading pattern for Crystal Petal Earrings

This is a pattern for earrings that coordinate with the necklace from my last post, called Crystal Petals. The same materials are required (2 colors of 11/0 Czech seed beads, with 4mm and 6mm round crystals), plus two 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads and jump rings to connect the components to ear hooks or clips.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for Crystal Petals necklace

I’m back!  Although my posts will likely not be as frequent as before, my hope is that they will still bring inspiration to your beading. Here is a new design that has similar elements as an earlier design of mine called Pearl Petals.  This pattern requires 4mm and 6mm round crystals with 11/0 Czech seed beads (two colors).  In both pieces I chose an accent seed bead color that matched the crystal color, but using a 3rd color instead might be a fun experiment too.  Enjoy!

Website Recovery Complete

I was able to manually restore all of my posts since September 2015, but was unable to recover comments on those posts.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.  I have moved my website to what I believe will be a more reliable hosting provider, to avoid outages and data loss in the future.

Website Recovery In Progress

Due to a failure with my hosting provider, this website was down for several days and suffered a catastrophic loss of data.  During the next week or so, I will be manually restoring posts created since September 2015, but will be unable to recover comments posted since then.  Thank you for your patience!

On Break

I will be taking a break from creating patterns for a while, as other commitments are currently requiring more of my time.  I’m not sure how long this hiatus will be, but in the meantime, I wish you all the best in your beading endeavors!

FREE beading pattern for Twin Floret Earrings

This is an earring pattern to match the Twin Floret Lace necklace pattern in my last post.  This design requires the same beads as the necklace (11/0 Czech seed beads, 4mm pearls, and twin or Superduo beads).  Enjoy!
