This is a beautiful variation on the classic pearl necklace. The piece is made with 4mm pearls and 11/0 seed beads. The pattern is really simpler than it may appear at first glance. Besides the steps that start and end the necklace, the main pattern really consists of only 2 steps for each upper curve (repeated 3 times), and 2 steps for each lower curve (repeated twice). In other words, the upper curve is made with steps G – L, but really, G-H, I-J, and K-L are all the same. Similarly, the lower curve is made with steps M – P, but M-N is the same as O-P. Q-R is really the start of the next upper curve, so is the same as G-H. The reason the pattern is shown with all the repeated steps in sequence is to show context in each illustration for where you are in making each curve.
