FREE beading pattern for Netted Bezel on Russian Snake chain

Fire Mountain Gems (http://firemountaingems.com) now has resin opalescent multicolored cabochons (light or dark) that are absolutely fabulous.  They are inexpensive, and yet each one is unique and changes colors when viewed from different angles.  (Notice how the cabachon in this necklace is more orange from the front, but green from the side).  I’m loving these cabochons so much, I will likely be posting more patterns for them this month.  This post includes two patterns: one showing how to make a netted bezel for an 18x25mm cabochon, as well as instructions for how to make and attach a “Russian Snake” chain to it.  The center component of this necklace is made from one 18x25mm resin opalescent dark multicolored cabochon caged in a net made of brown 15/0 seed beads, green and bronze 11/0 seed beads, and 4mm satin copper Czech druk beads.  The “Russian Snake” chain is made from the same green and bronze 11/0 seed beads, and 4mm copper beads.

FREE beading pattern for Celtic Medallion necklace and earrings

This is absolutely one of my favorite patterns, and I’ve made many of these in different colors.  This necklace is ideal for folks who prefer more dainty, less “statement” type necklaces, and the center component works great for matching earrings.  You can even make just the center component as a pendant, and put it on a chain or ribbon.  This was a more difficult pattern to write a diagram for, but hopefully the diagram I came up with is still easy enough to read and follow (although you may need to zoom in for some parts).  This pattern only requires 15/0 and 11/0 seed beads, and 6mm bicone crystals or pearls.  Enjoy!

FREE beading pattern for Twin Diamonds necklace and earrings

The pattern for this necklace was so simple, I had room left over to include a pattern for stunning earrings to match!  The necklace pattern works well for a bracelet too.  This necklace was made from 4mm off-white pearls, iridescent clear twin beads, and 11/0 gold seed beads.  Each earring uses those same beads, plus off-white pearl 11/0 seed beads, a 4mm crystal, a pearl drop bead with gold bead cap, and a 6/0 gold seed bead to hold a jump ring at the top.

FREE beading pattern for Pearl Rhombus earrings

As promised, here is a pattern for earrings that coordinate nicely with the necklace pattern from my last post (Pearl Triangles).  These earrings are made using 6mm olive green pearls, 3mm gold pearls, 4mm faceted round green crystals, and gold 11/0 seed beads.  I also use 2 gold 6/0 seed beads at the top to put the gold jump rings that can connect with either clips or ear hooks.  The 3mm gold pearls can be substituted with 8/0 seed beads if needed.

FREE beading pattern for necklace Pearl Triangles

This is another elegant variation on the classic pearl necklace, which is fairly simple to make using two needles.  The necklace shown below was made with olive 6mm pearls, gold 3mm pearls, green 4mm round faceted crystals, and gold 11/0 seed beads.  You can substitute 8/0 beads for the 3mm pearls, if desired.  In my next post, I plan to include a pattern for matching earrings, so stay tuned!
