FREE beading pattern for Trinity Necklace

This design is all about groups of three, which inspired its title.  This pattern requires 6mm and 4mm round beads or pearls, 6mm bicone crystals, and 1 or 2 colors of 11/0 seed beads.  Smaller Czech 11/0 seed beads work just as well as larger TOHO 11/0 seed beads do with this design.  Using the larger seed beads results in slightly larger triangle components.  This difference can be seen in both close-up images, which show the smaller seed bead components above the larger seed bead components for comparison.  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

FREE beading pattern for Twin Flanked Drops necklace

Here is another necklace design using Superduos with round beads.  This pattern requires 4mm and 6mm round beads or crystals, Superduos or twin beads (2-hole), and 11/0 seed beads (up to 3 colors).  The piece below was made using 4mm and 6mm ice blue Czech crystals, light blue rainbow transparent 11/0 seed beads, and silver Superduo beads.  The floral-colored piece was made using 4mm and 6mm dusty pink cats-eye glass beads, white Superduo beads, and three colors of 11/0 seed beads (matte purple rainbow, transparent rainbow lime green, and white). I chose very different color combinations to show how the design looks more formal with classic silver/blue, and more casual and colorful with the floral colors.  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

FREE beading pattern for Framed Crystal Drops necklace

This design is very similar to the Framed Pearl Drops necklace from my previous post, but modified to use bicone crystals instead of pearls.  I found that simply substituting bicone crystals instead of pearls didn’t work, as the crystal’s middle edge would make the superduo bead directly below it slant one way or another instead of being straight and vertical.  So I modified the pattern to fit the crystals better, and also created a point on the crystal drops, to accentuate their non-round shape.  Required materials are 4mm and 6mm crystals, 11/0 and 15/0 TOHO seed beads, and Superduo beads.  The piece below was made with gold matte superduo beads, bronze TOHO 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads, and peach rose Swarovski crystals (4mm and 6mm).  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

Here is another lovely necklace design featuring pearl drops framed with seed beads, hanging off a dazzling row of smaller pearls and Superduo beads.  This piece requires 4mm and 6mm pearls or druks, 11/0 and 15/0 TOHO seed beads, and Superduo beads.  I notice when working with metallic colors, mixing darker silver with lighter silver (or darker gold with lighter gold) seems to give a certain depth that I really like.  The necklace below was made with Superduo beads that are half bright silver, half crystal (clear), nickel TOHO 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads, and dark purple 4mm and 6mm pearls.  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!

FREE beading pattern for Scalloped Lace Necklace

I haven’t created a design that uses only seed beads in a while, so here is a new motif I came up with. You can use one or two colors — either way, the design yields nice results.  This pattern uses netting techniques, but is finished with round elements to create lovely curved scalloped edges.  I used 11/0 Czech seed beads in iris blue and silver for the two-tone example below, and transparent rainbow cream 11/0 Dyna-Mites seed beads (which look light yellow) for the single-color piece.  I hope you enjoy this free beading pattern!
